Hello! Good afternoon, evening, mid-day, second breakfast, or tea time!
A little intro to me:
I can thank my father for my percussion path - we needed a drummer for the Moniuszko Family Band and he handed me the drumsticks. We were not a good band -- but we tried.
Virginia has been my home for most of my life - I have siblings in Richmond, Virginia Beach, and Carrollton; and my parents down in Yorktown.

I started on piano and voice but found the love of my life, the marimba, in ninth grade. Come my senior year in high school, my band director offered me two pieces of advice: 1) pursue music (specifically teaching music) in college & 2) be a HOKIE.
I decided to follow both those pieces of advice - Thanks, Mr. Kirsch! -
I studied Percussion Performance & Music Education for my B.A. at Virginia Tech. Then, stuck around for an extra year to earn my M.A.Ed Curriculum and Instruction. GO HOKIES!!

At the moment, I'm settled in the DMV area and loving all the D.C. traffic.
I am the Director of Percussion at Flint Hill Schools and now the Assistant Director at Vienna Jammers (nickname: Cat Boyardee.. if you know, you know). I also teach one-on-one private lessons.

In my performance world, I regularly sit in orchestra pits around the DMV, produce my own music under the name "lemon", and am one of the founding members of the percussion quintet, Five In A Box Percussion.

Oh also.. I have two cats: Obi Wan and Miso.
That's a run down -- if you have any other questions, please feel free to send me an email or chat!
Cheers!
